Had a lot of fun at the Ann Arbor Summer Festival (A2SF) yesterday for community outreach events run by Stuttering Research Lab! Ann Arbor parents showed lots of interest in speech screenings and brain/language development.

Finally out! This longitudinal study encompassed 3-12 yr old children, with ~475 MRI scans analyzed. Among key findings, structural deficits in corticostriatal loop were present near stuttering onset, suggesting critical role of this circuit in stuttering onset and persistence.
