So much to learn!

I have never attended a staff meeting where students were able to share their challenges and needs. As system leaders we can’t do this work without prioritizing the voices of community. Shift the staff meetings to include student/parent voices. Change the status quo.

Unpopular opinion but I’ll share it anyway: principals have been amazing this schoolyear. Thankless job. Angry parents. Constantly changing directives from politicians. Staff feeling beat down. Kids in crisis. And they showed up amid the chaos and did their best.

I joke telling my students that one of my favorite hobbies is "listening to how other people think mathematically" but it's actually not a joke.
