The Town of Cave Creek has denied a permit for Harold’s to have a fireworks display the evening of July 3rd in honor of Independence Day. After discussing the situation with Rural Metro Fire Department, the Town decided to not to allow the event. Wildfire concerns are very high.

MCSO looking for illegal fireworks. Extra deputies and posse members will be patrolling the area the evenings of July 3 and 4. They will be looking for illegal fireworks. Fire danger is extreme. The deputies will also be keeping an eye out for impaired motorists.

A rollover accident at the intersection of Lone Mountain Road and 56th Street left two people with only minor injuries. The accident occurred just before noon today and is still under investigation. This is close to the high school, deputies said no CSHS students were involved.
