+100. Key rationale cud be pure utilitarian -supporting Pak is a good handle to be on the right side of "islamophobia", esp when arrayed agnst "hindutva fascist" India. Esp PIO - all untrustworthy. We have no choice but to do it the brutal way - buy/bully/threaten for influence.
