Please be advised that FEMA representatives are in Somerville Borough this morning conducting preliminary assessment and meeting with the OEM team

If your home has been posted unsafe due to flood damage. Do not attempt to turn on gas or electricity from the meter or panel. Repair of the structure requires permits. The Borough Council will be waiving permit fees.

As a precaution, certain buildings consisting of 298 units at Brookside Gardens are required to evacuated. A temporary shelter is being setup at Somerville High School.

The Borough has contracted for removal of large logs near brook areas , East Summit, Wlliam Street, Park area, trees near gazebo on William Street and removal of uprooted trees stating on Monday. Please exercise caution.

A portion of the Peters Brook Greenway behind Engine Company 170 E Main Street suffered damages and remains closed. The Borough currently has an engineering firm preparing the scope of work for emergency repairs. Please avoid the area.
