Yesterday was the birth anniversary of Ellen Impey (7th June 1844), sister of Catherine Impey. Ellen supported Catherine in her anti-racism work. They lived together in Street. There's a chapter about Catherine in Unsung Women in Somerset. #womeninhistory #somerset #history
