I try so hard to approach discussions with an open mind, but others make it so hard sometimes...

Ok how about this: No more billionaires. None. After you reach $999 million, every red cent goes to schools and health care. You get a trophy that says, “I won capitalism” and we name a dog park after you.

Stephen Lecce⁩ - do you know what disrupts the learning of students? Bomb threats! Do you know what emboldens this cowardly behaviour - the dog whistling you & ⁦Doug Ford⁩ have been doing to keep your base happy. This violence is on you #OntEd inthehammer.com/email-with-bom…

And don’t forget, Mr Ford still plans to build a completely unnecessary highway (413) across farmland - wonderful farmland, rare farmland - so his friends can make money? A destructive boondoggle.

At some point, there are surely too many liabilities to Mayor Crombie’s candidacy to consider her the “winnability” candidate. Experience matters, of course. But what one has done with that experience matters even more.

@jennyleeshee Nate Erskine-Smith is a much better choice. He is a decent human being with lots of ideas. Also, he responded to me every time I wrote to him as MP, not just a "thank you for writing", but earnest and thoughtful responses to my specific questions and concerns. He's the real deal.

While our party faces big challenges, we also have an immense opportunity. We can, and should, be the party that leads with integrity, with ambition, and with big ideas that solve our most pressing problems while putting people first. meetnate.ca

So OECTA has strike votes on Oct 18th and 19th. AEFO has outright rejected the gov's proposals with no other meetings announced. ETFO rejected binding arbitration and hired a 3rd party mediator. Any news on that? And OSSTF, well... Where do we see all this going?

Stephen Lecce Hi, mathematics teacher here. I believe my Minister of Education should have a background in education in order to improve… education.

I've been rather quiet on this app in the last few months. Work has somewhat taken over my life because I've allowed it, but now feel like I need to step back and take a breather. I used to interact with a few accts on here that I see are still active. Tell me, how is "X" now?

I give up on Ontario. First, we elect Ford. Then, we give him a majority. Now, Bonnie's going to lead the OLP. Just as the U.S. deserved Trump when they brought him in, we'll reap what we sew, too.

The Wizard of Oz turns 85 this year. Today, if Dorothy was to encounter creatures with no heart, no brains, and no courage, she wouldn't be in Oz. She'd be at a Conservative convention.

I heard on the radio that there are 30,000 qualified educators in Ontario who are choosing NOT to work in schools. There isn’t a teacher shortage. There’s a shortage of educators willing to put up with the abysmal conditions created by Stephen Lecce.

For any teacher (or anyone else, really) who has tried and tester AI-powered presentation generators, which do you recommend?
