Just finished Walter Scott‘s ‘Ivanhoe’ (1819), a must-read for all patriots. Its vigour and pride for nation deep through its pages, paired with exuberant characters and hearty plot arcs, make for a great read. Rather antisemitic too apart from a ‘Jewess’ being a key heroine.
