A1: If I'm being honest, I STILL experience math anxiety, and I'm an adult! But yes, I remember crying over my Algebra class in 8th grade. #mpcschat

A2: Well, in high school I kind of gave up on Math. I did what was "passable" because, quite honestly, it was just too overwhelming for me. Wish I could say that I had better coping skills then, but it's all I could do. #mpcschat

A3: Compassion, empathy, and communication! But not only that...differentiation! My math teachers always taught by lecture. Nothing was EVER fun or interactive. I would get lost and never recover. #mpcschat

A4: Provide them with some resources and check on them often. My own kid is entering high school next year and I'm terrified! I doubt I'll be able to help her, so I'm gonna need resources! #mpcschat

A5: Work with parents and kids together. Relationships! Let them know that you're there to help. Know when to back off and take a step backwards. Encourage parents to contact you with concerns. Make it fun! #mpcschat

A1: Well, 8 weeks ago, our norm was classroom based, face-to-face teaching. I barely remember what normal was at this point! #mpcschat

A2: I think that right now, it is a disruption. Online technology is WONDERFUL! Don't get me wrong. I use it often in my music class. I know I'll prob get zinged for saying this, but 100% online ed is not good for Music education. #mpcschat

A3: I think it is necessary. We can't hold back a wave, can we? It's what our kids know, and we need to meet them where they are, while still reminding them that technology isn't EVERYTHING. I think 100% tech dependency is dangerous! #mpcschat

A4: I don't know where to begin with this. Concerts canceled, meaningful music education halted, etc. I'm sad at what music ed has been watered down to. Positive: Our concerts next year are gonna be slammin'! #mpcschat

For what it's worth, just wanna say that we're so lucky to have tech available in our district. Leaps and bounds above many. Can't imagine not having it now! I'm just whiney because I miss teaching music on my terms. Hahaha! #mpcschat

A5: I've learned how to do some different tech things that I never had time for before. Ex: better utilizing Canvas, WeVideo, etc. Lots of free webinars out there, too! I also learned that I was surprisingly tired. Does that count? Haha! #mpcschat

A1: Nourishing Ninjas deliveries! I've also tried hard to stay connected to my specialist team, whether it be email, text, or phone. #mpcschat

A2: Keeping it honest, I haven't established a dedicated "work space" at home. We have a really small house, so I'm constantly interrupted. I work wherever it's quiet at the moment! #mpcschat

A3: Well, I thrive on getting Ss to love music. Every day teaching music feeds my soul. I also really enjoy serving others, so Nourishing Ninjas is my jam. #mpcschat

A4: I love taking care of the fam. I also love serving in my church, Kids Ministry specifically. I've been spending lots of time pouring into my church kids via FB Live book readings and special activities! #mpcschat #sidehustle

A5: Continue to connect with kids both in school life and church life. Personally speaking, I wanna up my game and take my workouts to the next level. I'll be super inspired if the scale goes down! Haha! #mpcschat
