Today is International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. It marks the start of #16Days of Activism to end gender-based violence. During 16 Days I will be highlighting the efforts of organisations dedicated to ending domestic abuse. I hope you'll follow along.

Domestic abuse isn’t just physical – it’s emotional, psychological, and financial too. Understanding these forms is key to supporting survivors. Together, we can raise awareness of hidden forms of abuse. #16DaysOfActivism

Support for survivors is critical: following the verdict, calls to rape helplines surged by 150%. This shows the enormous impact of public cases and the importance of holding perpetrators accountable. We must do better, and ensure survivors can access the support they need.
