Thank you, Energy and Commerce Committee, for today's hearing on EPA's RMP Rule. “This rule creates security vulnerabilities and diverts resources from critical security and process improvements,” said SOCMA VP Robert Helminiak.
A big thank you to Chris Banach from VanDeMark Chemical and Wanda Smith Halocarbon for their insightful contributions at the methylene chloride town hall today. Your expertise is invaluable in addressing this critical issue. #MethyleneChloride #TownHall
Thank you, Sen. Dan Sullivan, for meeting with us to discuss potential fixes to the TSCA New Chemicals Program and strategizing new ways for SOCMA members to provide government agencies with critical chemistries.
SOCMA thanks Rep. Adrian Smith for introducing the MTB Reform Act, a program that allows SOCMA members to access materials not available in sufficient quality in the US. This allows our industry to remain competitive in global trade.
Thank you, Rep. August Pfluger, for meeting with us to discuss EPA's TSCA New Chemicals Program. We are looking forward to further conversations on how to address the current program slowdowns.
Thank you to Representatives Rep. Vern Buchanan, Claudia Tenney, and Nicole Malliotakis for attending the meeting with The NAM's yesterday. We appreciate your efforts to maintain the pro-growth 2017 tax reforms, which allow SOCMA members to hire workers and invest in their community.
SOCMA was proud to support Sun Chemical Chemical in hosting a site visit with Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, highlighting our ongoing commitment to U.S. manufacturing, the specialty chemical industry, and pigment production.
