This is good to see. In an era where sequels can take 5-10 years, studios juggling multiple IPs need to farm out some of the work to capable third parties. Asking your fanbase to wait a decade for the next installment of their favorite franchise is unreasonable and unsustainable.

I have a lot of respect for Todd Howard but it’s dismissive excuses like this that make you seem disconnected from your audience and unwilling to admit mistakes. “It’s not me it’s them”. I like Starfield but its issues are not subjective.

I love video games. I love the conversations around them, even games I’m critical of, I enjoy the discussion, the dialogue.

I'm a little concerned about having 2 unique characters in Assassins Creed Shadows. I could be wrong but it feels like another attempt by Ubi to please both the old/new fanbases with a separate stealth/combat character builds. I liked Odyssey's approach to playstyle cusomization.

Starfield is interesting because in spite of the copy/paste monotony, I've never minded grindy/repetitive games if there's an appealing incentive (in most cases - cool loot or character perks). With Starfield though its incentives just didn't really keep me engaged. #starfield

Really hoping that the Fallout 3 remaster is more of a modern remake and not just an HD remaster. I love the older Fallouts but the mechanics can be pretty clunky. I’d love to see improvements to the shooting/combat in particular to make it smoother and less dated. #fallout

It would be cool if Light No Fire had no fast travel at all. If you want to explore the distant reaches of the world you have to make the journey. Think of the possibilities, the experiences - meeting players literally from distant lands, charting your progress across the planet.

I’m really hoping Starfield sees a renaissance similar to Cyberpunk 2077. I hope that the updates + Shattered Space does for Starfield what Phantom Liberty and patch 2.0 did for Cyberpunk.

Mordin is one of the most interesting characters in Mass Effect 2. His dialogue on Tuchanka especially, is extremely well written and performed with such believable weight. Among all the dialogue & cutscenes I’ve played, it’s one of those sequences that really stands out.

It's nice to see that you can swap between characters in AC Shadows. I was concerned I'd have to lock into 1 play style. Though I've never been a huge fan of character swapping as I think it makes it harder to get invested in the protagonist since your attention is split.

I love a good remaster/remake and patching older games for improved frame rate/fidelity is awesome. But not as a substitute for new true next-gen games. I’m only echoing a common sentiment here but this generation of consoles has (thus far) wildly underperformed in this regard.

I’m really loving Sea of Stars. I haven’t played many turn based rpgs but this one was on my radar with a couple others. Very charming, beautiful and lots of fun. #seaofstars

I really wish Starfield would add procedurally generated structures and emergent quests that are a little more layered. I think these two adds would go a long way to increase variety and solve some of its biggest issues with feelings of meaningless copy/paste repetition.

I'm actually excited to return to Starfield but I'm still holding off, hoping for a couple more substantive updates that would flesh out or retool some of its weaker systems. I think there are ways Bethesda can really improve the experience by better calibrating existing systems.

I've wanted to post more illustrations and doodles but haven't had much time yet, so here's an amazing drawing of a froggo in his jammies and a lil sword. #doodleart

So much of the language from Bethesda concerning Starfield is polite yet lacks genuine introspection. Instead it deflects criticism back at fans, suggesting player dissent is due to preference rather than valid flaws in the game. They seem unwilling or unable to admit mistakes.

I understand Xbox's thinking with their platform agnostic approach but I still think the industry will be worse off because of it. I also don't think they would have pursued this direction if they hadn't mismanaged the brand so badly.

It doesn’t matter how many things you turn into an “Xbox” if the games/studios that power the platform are poorly managed.
