lucy manages a smile. “that’s awfully kind of you” she says. “you’re related to coriolanus?”

“we can go back if you want” she starts. lucy didn’t want to be the reason for his discomfort or worry. “but if we keep going, just know i’m not going anywhere..” she takes his hand in an attempt to calm his thoughts.

she simply rolls her eyes. the temptation to once again, walk away from him was growing strong. “give me your reasons then, come on”

“coriolanus snow, what are we going to do with you, huh?” she teases… “race you!” she splashes him before taking off, swimming towards the land.

she didn’t even need to glance behind to know that he was close. coriolanus was a good swimmer, but so was she. but she’s determined to win.

nope! she’s not letting him win this, no way! she’s laughing once she reaches shore, turning around to see how far behind he truly was. “come on”

she offers the boy a smile. “we don’t have to go anywhere. i’m certain we’ll be fine on our own out here” she felt safe with coriolanus, and after being put in that arena she felt like she could do anything.

she places her hands on her hips as she looks at him with a look of utter innocence. “as if i would ever do such a thing”

“aw, is someone sad that they lost?” she chuckles, grabbing one of the towels.
