This weekend was my wonderful husband’s birthday so we celebrated with a selection of mini pies (cherry, rhubarb custard, pecan and chocolate cream). We also had orange-cinnamon French toast casserole for brunch and a lovely steak dinner. Happy Birthday Emmet

This week’s baking was a bit of a failure. I tried to make a lemon raspberry cake but the the cake both spilled out of the pan and stuck badly, so I turned it into lemon raspberry cake balls. Also included: pictures from last week, a much more successful chocolate almond cake.

Super excited to finally being able to share this story, in ACS Nano pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac… In this work, we (Sarah Lerch) synthesised nanoparticles of different size and shape, and assembled individual particles in individual nanochannels to study their catalytic activity.
