Environmental systems did a lab today to investigate the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere. Students were able to calculate the % of oxygen in the air and compare it to the actual percentage. The smallest % error seen today was 4.8% !

Environmental ran an Ozone modeling lab. In this lab we had trials of natural cycling (ozone to oxygen and back) and trials with CFCs added. Students created graphs to analyze the increased depletion of the ozone due to CFCs. Below is an ozone maker, a UV destroyer, and a CFC.

21 DNA models have been displayed in the SMHS_LRC. The models of your favorite macromolecule, deoxyribonucleic acid, were hand made by Pre-AP Biology students!
