And with that my ACCA examination journey is complete. Final exam (APM) passed! I can call myself a ‘passed finalist’ and it feels smashing! Out-of-date textbooks were my friends throughout but its time to compost them so I can have a bookshelf back. 📚

Today we celebrate Mary Cockrem (1830-1908) of Torquay. With her sister Jane, she took over the running of Cockrem’s Book Society & Circulating Library at No. 10 Strand, “a busy centre of gossip” and was one of just four Devon women to sign the Women’s Suffrage Petition in 1866.
