Pillar Point Bluff was once used for livestock grazing, as a whaling station in the 1800s, and by rumrunners during Prohibition. During World War II, the Half Moon Bay Airport was constructed to be used as a base for fighter jets and patrol aircraft. #SMCParks #ThrowbackThursday
