It is difficult to understand why nondisabled people are so indifferent to the exclusion of disabled people in every aspect of life. Exclusion is trauma. Isolation is trauma. Segregation is trauma. Why don’t more people care about the exclusion of disabled people?

It is ridiculous that in 2021 so many who work on policy for disabled people are not #disabled. The policy world is a very #inaccessible environment e.g. if you have a #ChronicIllness for example, & this needs to change! #Policymaking orgs must work on accessible workplaces!

i’m starting a hashtag to highlight how the pandemic has improved accessibility for disabled people. ill start: - working from home means i am able to work a full time job without exhausting myself to the point of hospitalisation #MyAccessiblePandemic

When you realise that needs aren’t special or additional and are in fact just access needs, which everyone has, you break down some of the stigma that society builds up. Some people have more access needs than others and generally good access is just good practice.

Eating disorders are not a sign of weakness or the fault of the person suffering, and anyone who is ill deserves support.

1. Can we please have #PIP assessors that are ACTUALLY trained in #DisabledRights & anti #ableism practices!? The fact that as a community we know that almost every single first attempt at an app will be rejected is disgusting & horrifying! #NEISVoid #DisabilityTwitter #PIPReform
