Today begins National Police Week. We honor the courage, dedication and commitment of law enforcement officers across the country, and here at home. It is a time to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, and offer thanks to those who continue to serve our communities.

Thursday at the Downtown Farmers' Market is Law Enforcement Night! Come see us on Chorro Street and snag a police bear squeezie toy and visit with our staff. Lots of other local agencies will be there too!

Officers Crawford, Sisemore, Bravo & Stevens are in Washington DC this week in support of Natl Police Week & the events of the Peace Officers Memorial. The memorial honors law enforcement ofcs who have lost their lives in the line of duty & it is an incredible honor to attend. 🤍

Today, we remember Officer John C. Bond, who tragically died on July 2, 1952. Officer Bond was killed in an accidental shooting while serving his community with honor, dedication, and courage. Though the years have passed, his sacrifice is never forgotten.

Last Friday, we were invited to participate in @leadershipslo Justice Day. We had an incredibly good time connecting with Class 33, talking about their experience during their patrol ride-alongs and answering lots of questions about policing in SLO.
