The heart of Fes Medina: the tanneries. 1100 or more years of traditional craftsmanship, a daily grind of pumping out the hides that #Morocco's leather industry requires. Truly fascinating, and someplace that is worth sticking around for as long as you can bear the smell. #travel

As neither a surfer nor a #travel package holidaymaker Taghazout isn't really designed for me - but it's challenging to sit with a view like this and not have something of a good time all the same. #Morocco

Naysayers will question why one might #travel to #Benelux in February, but they simply lack the imagination to understand that Carnival in heavy snow is Pure Vibes.

More traditional, if slightly less exuberant, is the Carnivale of #Binche. For over 600 years, the residents of the city (and only the residents - Gilles in full costume must even be born in the city) have donned their traditional costumes to march through the streets.

Stunning medieval towns, incredible beer at every step, Carnivale, and far fewer visitors than there's any right to be. Belgium in February was an excellent choice.

Need I tell you how unprepared I was for #Luxembourg to be probably one of the most beautiful capital cities in all of Europe? How is nobody talking about this place?? #travel

WhenI first knew about #Austria's Palace of Justice you could more or less just walk right in. Times have changed, and with #travel crowds have come limited entries and hours, but the space is no less impressive now than the first time I walked in years ago.

You will, perhaps, not be surprised to learn that Melk Abbey (housed as it is in a former palace above the Danube) was a hit. The surrounding towns of the Wachau Valley were also, as I understand it, nice enough.

In all frankness, I didn't know hardly anything at all about Lucerne before we planned this trip; it was just a convenient base from which to do a bunch of other stuff nearby that looked fun. Imagine our delight, then, when it turned out to also be a really lovely city to wander.

Listen I know I'm not the first to say it, but #Switzerland really is like absurdly pretty and it's kind of unfair to all the other countries. #travel

Not just mountains - the views from Rigi also take in lakes in what feels like nearly every direction. They are, if I may be so bold, not awful to look at.

A few more moments from around Interlaken #Switzerland because I still can't get over how unreasonably attractive this area is. #travel

Has anybody else just been unable to login to their Priority Pass account for like a month now? Locked out of the old app and yet unable to get login access to the new one? Doctor Of Credit Richard Kerr Frequent Miler is this a known thing or just my account?

It's not the #mountains that set #Switzerland apart - beautiful, but so are many other countries' - it's the infrastructure. There are few places I've visited that it's so easy to get up to so many 3000-4000m+ vistas to happily spend a winter day for non-skiers.

I'm not sure one could possibly hope for a better time to visit #Montreux than a beautiful spring day with the trees in bloom up above the shore of Lake Geneva. 10/10 #travel day in #Switzerland.

Prague has not one but TWO of the most incredible libraries you could ever hope to see. Klementium, which requires booking timed-access tour tickets in advance, had eluded me on past visits; but I finally made it this past trip. Strahov remains a long-time favorite.
