We've had a handful of wonderful programs over the past few weeks. Thanks to Marty Gallagher for speaking about his company 'Talk to Me Technologies', Rick Peterson on the upcoming SL childhood center bond issue vote and for new BVU head men's basketball coach Todd Lorensen.

Thanks to Buena Vista University Chief Marketing Officer, Rick Pallister, for speaking to our club on Monday. He gave updates on different ways that the University is involved in the community and special events going on throughout campus.

Thanks to Storm Lake Fire Chief, Mike Jones, for coming and speaking to the club today about the department, what it takes to become a certified firefighter, and also the types of calls it has responded to over the past year.

We had the privilege to listen to BVU Baseball head coach Steve Eddie speak to our club on Jan. 20 about his team's upcoming season. We look forward to cheering the Beavers on all season!

Today we had three members of Storm Lake HS Key Club present at our meeting. They updated us on the many service activities they've been involved with. We appreciate all the volunteer hours their group also give to the community. Well done!

Club president Dan Anderson presented a check on December 18 in the amount of $1,000 to Maggie Reyes at Upper Des Moines Opportunity in Storm Lake. The money goes toward the Adopt-a-Family program at Christmas time.
