This whole hearing is just insane. This represents the absolute worst of politics.

This is the most important point. What the legislature is doing is asking us to affirmatively give up a constitutional right on our ballot this November. A constitutional right. It doesn't matter where your politics are, do not let them convince you to give up your rights.

Republicans just rewrote the law to allow House/Senate leadership to write this question themselves, rather than nonpartisan staff. This language is even more disingenuous & misleading than I expected it would be. If you must lie to pass your proposal, you don't belong in office.
