July Fun Fact! #DYK the highest July rainfall total in the U.S., Canada, & Puerto Rico from CoCoRaHS observers was in Conway, MA w/a total of 21.42"? Other top 5 totals: 19.51" & 19.34" from other Conway observers, 18.93" in Northampton, MA , & 17.63" in Cornwall, CT.

Potentially historic amount of rainfall is expected to cause life-threatening to locally catastrophic flash, urban, and arroyo flooding including landslides, mudslides, and debris flows. Among other preparations, remember that driving through flooded roadways is NOT be an option.

A Winter Storm Watch is now in effect for much of central and northern MA. Confidence in snow totals is highest in high elevations where 6-12 inches of snow is possible. Snow totals in lower elevations is less certain due to marginal temps and potential for mixed precip.
