GAISA SARGA NDIR vs eCO2. Laikam, jau ka labi - ja rāda vairāk kā ir. Citi lietotāji Aranet4 NDIR stāstīja, ka rādot vienādi-ish ar GAISA SARGU. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Normunds Bergs 🇱🇻🇪🇺🇺🇦

This optical filter, with 105 nanofabricated thin film layers and deliberately designed so that the transmission and reflection spectrum draws a moose head (!?) is absolutely wild. opg.optica.org/oe/fulltext.cf…

The HIMARS mobile rocket launcher has been in the news as a powerful new weapon in Ukraine. I thought a teardown of its internal electronics would be interesting. (Nobody would give me a HIMARS so this is a "virtual" teardown.) Laser gyros and other technology ahead... 1/57

Ever wonder how Russian cruise missiles find their way into Ukrainian playgrounds, power stations, and apartment buildings? Well thanks to Bellingcat’s [email protected] wonder no more. It’s time to meet the team behind the targeting of Russian missiles on civilian infrastructure.

I finally had a chance to test whether SMD resistors can measure PCB flex for the SmartKnob haptic click - oddly enough, it works! Not sure how reliable or robust this will be, but it's certainly a lot easier to assemble than gluing and hand-wiring strain gauge sensors!

Horrifying incident where another Cesium capsule was lost and they gave up the search after a week. It was found years later embedded in the concrete wall of an apartment—after killing 4 people. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kramators…

🧵about NASA's "Ghost Shuttle." You probably know that NASA's Space Shuttle fleet consisted of 6 orbiters. But there was a 7th orbiter that you've probably never heard of: OV-95-- or as the engineers at NASA's Johnson Space Center liked to call it, the Ghost Shuttle.

I noticed that a lot of people from Western democracies with imperial past don’t get that ethnic Russians living in Ukraine (especially Crimea), the Baltics, Caucasus are not indigenous ethnic minorities. They are mostly Russia’s colonial settlers. 1/10

As I've split my Russian cities "travel guide" into a myriad of different threads and posts, I've decided to finally gather them all in one place (mostly so I can have something to pin on my profile). Welcome to "Posh Russian cities - The Definitive Edition" 🧵

TDK CH201 is a pretty unique sensor and construction - 3 PCBs- top MEMS transducer stack with aperture, spacer PCB with ground and 4 signal pads, bottom logic board. Weirdly enough ultrasound part wafer is ST marked.
