We’ve had a busy July in #Solihull with Cadets, First Aiders, Ambulance Crews and Paramedics supporting Solihull Summer Fest, the Birmingham 2022 Queen’s Baton Relay and other events across the area.
SJA Solihull ASU are opening to members of the public on Tuesday 11th October for Restart a Heart week. Please drop in to the Hub at Dickens Heath Community Primary School, 18:30-21:30 and learn some CPR and how to use an AED Dickens Heath Solihull Updates #RestartAHeart
Congratulations to Kieran, Owen, Paul, Charlie, Nathan, Alex and Jake- last night they received West Midlands Ambulance Service #HelpUsHelpYou Chief Officer Commendations for successfully resuscitating a patient at Solihull Summer Fest earlier this year. Well done to all other award recipients from last night too!

It’s been a busy week for Solihull ASU, with some fundraising (thanks for having us Tesco) a visit from @ChrisH_88 Karen McKeown Greg Mckeown Janet Catto to present some well deserved awards and event cover at the weekend with our teams assisting with a big RTC. Well done team🎉
Meet Phil McCahill, our new Regional Community Response Lead. Supported by the amazing Community Response teams in SJA Staffordshire, Shropshire & Wolverhampton & SJA West Midlands District, he will lead lead the vision for our hospital volunteering, night time economy, homeless and community engagement projects across the region.
Unit Manager Linda and Area Manager Jake were honoured to be invited by Mayor of Solihull to attend the Birmingham International Military Tattoo The Birmingham International Tattoo🇬🇧 this weekend. They also had the chance to discuss the work of SJA with the Deputy Mayor and Mayoress of Solihull.
We’re very pleased that this weekend we’ve opened a second Safespace on Broad St. We’re working alongside West Midlands Police Birmingham Police West Midlands Ambulance Service #HelpUsHelpYou WestMidsPCC Southside BID & Westside BID to keep people safe in the Night Time Economy in Birmingham & support local NHS services.
We’re running one of the first FA Essential Education training sessions for SJA West Midlands District at SJA Solihull ASU. Big thanks to Cosmo- our new District Training Lead and Solihull UTL Owen for running this training and making sure our clinical volunteers are confident and up to date💪🏻💪🏻
