An incredible atmosphere as the whole school gathers to hear from Agnes Grunwald-Spier today for #HolocaustMemorialDay with SHS Sixth Form.

Utterly humbling to hear first hand from Agnes Grunwald-Spier about the impact of the #Holocaust on her family. She will probably never know the name of the person who saved her life as a baby, alongside her mother who was somehow able to breastfeed and keep her warm.

We can’t wait for alumna Francesca Forristal to speak to the senior school next week as part of #LGBTplusHM. Francesca will also be workshopping script&screen-writing with our GCSE &AL Drama students drawing on her award-winning productions for Netflix Southbank Centre and more.

We were thrilled to welcome US Ambassador Jane Hartley today for #InternationalWomensDay. The Ambassador toured the school before she spoke to and answered questions from an audience of pupils from our school, our local partner schools and our sister @GDST schools. #IWD2023

Harriet, Martina and Kendra represented SCHS at the Women of the Future Ambassadors Reception at Lords cricket ground. They valued the opportunity greatly, feeling both inspired and motivated by all the successful women there. #WOFAmbassador Women of the Future

The L6 visited Queen Mary’s University London during their higher education week where they were lucky enough to have a tour of the campus and were given amazing personal statement advice. Thank you so much Queen Mary University of London for having us!

During higher education week the L6 engaged in finance workshops where they learned about university budgeting, student loans and gained financial advice. The students found it very insightful and said they learned very valuable skills for their futures.

The Sixth Formers enjoyed their social on Tooting Common to conclude their higher education week. They had lots of fun playing rounders and enjoying the sun!

Lily, Martina and Olivia attended the @GDST Psychology cup at the GDST office. They competed against 12 schools and won the category for most engaging presentation, congratulations girls! 🏆 #WhereGirlsLearnWithoutLimits

Culture day! The students came to school wearing their cultural dress to celebrate the wide range of cultural diversity across the student body, which the girls said they all thoroughly enjoyed!

Izy, our Drama Captain, organised an incredible talent show to raise money for Ms Thanes dementia fundraiser. The event was highly entertaining, huge fun for everyone involved, and benefitted a very important cause. What a success! SCHS Drama @GDST
