This electric locomotive is a cracking restoration and hard to loose in the snow! Shame it rarely gets that cold where the catenary goes! 😎

Today's historic pic: Adelaide C type tram no 186 at the then the outer terminus of the Museum line in Shell Street, St Kilda, SA, August 25 1991, 31 years ago today. Twenty C type trams were built in 1918/19 by Duncan & Fraser. The last ran in 1953 and 186 is the only survivor.

This morning, our electric locomotive 8649 assisted steam locomotive 3801 through the City Underground and across the Sydney Harbour Bridge! Here we see 8649 basking in the morning sun down at Lavender Bay after leading the train down from Waverton.

8649 OPERATING ON CITY CIRCLE This Monday, 7th Nov 2022, 8649 will take a rail set train into the City Circle, operating as follows: Train Number E140 Enfield: 8:42pm Lidcombe: 8:56pm Bankstown: 9:09pm Sydenham: 9:33pm Central: 9:41pm Train then proceeds into the worksite.
