~new Tom Ford suit and freshly polished shoes in the downstairs lounge the night before so as not to disturb her. After the débâcle with ~

~ the minions, I had spent most of the last three nights at the office making sure every last piece of evidence was locked up tighter than ~

~ Fort Knox. I’m almost ashamed to admit that I caused one of them to quit after that night, but clearly he couldn’t handle the pressure ~

~ and didn’t deserve to work at such a prestigious firm, so it was no great lose. As I showered and made breakfast I was going over my ~

~ opening statement that the court full of people would hear in my head, with a smile. I must admit, this is one of my favourite parts of ~

~ trial. Where I have the full attention of the jury and I dazzle them as I have done of often before. I brewed my morning coffee, making ~

~ sure to leave some for @BlushingMika. as I got dressed and I sat and watched the early morning news. As I was leaving I left a note for ~

~ @BlushingMika “I love you, my beauty. Have a good day and I’ll see you tonight for dinner, Bryce” I glanced around and made sure I had ~

~ everything I needed, as I reached for my briefcase and my keys before making my way out to my car. Luckily I had left just early enough ~

~ to miss most of the morning traffic, arriving amongst the swarms of people entering and exiting the courthouse, slightly surprising ~

~ to most people around considering the time, but with such a high profile case about to start, it probably shouldn’t have been. Making my~

~ way to where my client was being held, excusing the sad looking police officer, guarding the room, I went over my plan of attack and how ~

~ I thought the case would play out. He and I both had far too much on the line for anything to go wrong. He had his freedom and I had my ~

~ reputation on the line, so neither could be gambled away on anything less than a sure thing. I closed my file, standing to shake my ~

~clients hand before taking my leave. Stopping in the doorway, I turn slightly and looked my client over. *As long as we stick to the story~

~ and the jury is on our side, we have nothing to worry about. I’ll see you out there, Mr Patterson.*]
