Poor people don’t commit crimes when their bills are paid and their needs are met. The idea that the poor are more criminal than the “managerial” and ruling class (they aren’t) because of some cultural identity is just an excuse to oppress, nothing else.

The global Muslim population is now approaching 2 Billion people. Islam is the fastest growing religion in more than 30 non-Muslim majority nations, many of them in Europe. Put simply… when you demonize a religion, you invite curiosity and conversion.

When it comes to research ethics, I truly believe that we need to hear more from research participants, local communities and researchers who actually interact with participants and communities. Then and only then we will have a complete understanding of these issues.

Young people need a strong job market, decent pay, affordable rents & ability to get on the property market, access to healthcare including mental health & quality education (& to drink tap water without getting sick from sewage leaks). Where does unpaid mandatory service fit 🤔?
