Listening to yet another Woke horror story made me realize a part of cancel culture that I haven't heard discussed much (or any) that really needs to get fleshed out, hopefully by relevant experts. People, adolescents especially, need to be allowed to mess up to learn.

If I read one more well-intentioned (or smug?) tweet about theatres/orchestras needing simply to monetise the 'great opportunities' of going 'on line'.😡😡😡. So much of the joy of music, theatre, opera is the proximity, the physical, the social interaction of live experience....

So the BBC is planning to axe Jo Coburn's #PoliticsLive. And Andrew Neil's weekly interview show may not return. Soon there will only be Marr and Question Time left. Surely any public service broadcaster worthy of the name should have at least one daily politics show?

I may not personally be a fan of panto, however you would have to be a fool to not recognise it's importance to the continued existence of theatre.

I’m neither in the contrarian, outright refuse to wear a mask category or the hysterical not wearing mask is akin to manslaughter category. I disagree with mandatory masks for shops, prefer advisory. However I’ll still wear one for 5 mins if a nurse has to wear one for 12 hours.
