Repair cafés are helping local people choose a cheaper, greener option instead of just throwing something broken away.

I visited Parliament's Repair Café to celebrate the skilled volunteers in our part of Devon who stop 100s of items going to waste by fixing them for free.

Under Labour the State Pension increased by just 75p in 1999 and we had the fourth highest rate of pensioner poverty in Europe.

By contrast, the Conservatives continue to back Britain’s pensioners with the State Pension having increased by £3,700 since 2010.

We will build up to 6 new warships capable of rapidly landing commandos onto beaches across the world, and we will save HMS Albion & HMS Bulwalk from being scrapped or mothballed. 

Together today’s announcement will secure the future of the Royal Marines for generations.

Devon is home to so many superb schools.

Thank you to Colyton Grammar for inviting me for a tour of their school which has students from across East Devon.

I had a really good discussion with headteacher Mr. Harris about the school's work and I enjoyed a Q&A with students.

Inflation is down. Waiting lists are falling. Wages are rising. Taxes have been cut. Defence spending is increasing.

That’s why it’s important we stick with the plan that’s working to deliver a brighter future for everyone.

Pinewood Residential Home in Budleigh Salterton has set up a powerful exhibit called 'These Hands.'

It celebrates residents' lives through photos of their hands & a story of what's made them who they are today.

Thank you to the home for inviting me to discuss their great work.

After a tough period with the pandemic and the energy shock, today’s figures are proof that the economy is returning to full health.

And more important than that, the IMF say our long term prospects are the strongest of any major European economy over the coming years.

It's an honour to have been re-elected to lead the Great South West in Parliament.

The South West & our beautiful part of Devon is integral to the UK's food, defence & energy security.
