Really welcome the announcement of lifting the percentage of GDP spent on defence to 2.5%. My only concern is that given just how badly the world situation is deteriorating, we may need to move faster still. But a major improvement in our posture.

I welcome that the U.S. House of Representatives has approved a major new package of aid to #Ukraine . Ukraine is using the weapons provided by #NATO Allies to destroy Russian combat capabilities. This makes us all safer, in Europe & North America.

Two weeks ago, we hit our target of 150,000 more children benefitting from our expansion of childcare.

Today, I’m delighted that number is now over 195,000.

Our plan is working - helping hard working families with the cost of childcare and to get back into work.

If young people are taught
- that their heritage is poisoned
- that their wealth came from slavery and not the rule of law…
