"The number (of people) we are able to reach - it's almost embarassing in the face of how vast the need is right now" - Arwa Damon from Gaza

"The impact of an alleged war crime is often directly related to horror of the images that end up in the hands of the public.” Except, it seems, when it comes to Gaza. @Newyorker obtains images US military suppressed of Iraqis killed by US Marines in 2005 newyorker.com/podcast/in-the…

Obviously there are variances - but this tweet fails to point out that Iraqi Kurdistan, for example, escaped the brunt of the violence that followed the occupation, while Kurdish politicians have relied on US support to bolster their position vis-a-vis their rivals.

"Palestinian isn't an ethnicity, it's an ideology that says they want Jews dead" - while it is in fact Palestinians being killed in their tens of thousands. Stunning distortion of reality to justify ethnic cleansing.

The WFP vehicle attacked in Gaza👇 IDF fired repeatedly at the windows. UN staff are only alive thanks to bulletproof glass. This isn’t surprising when there are no consequences from the international community for attacks on aid workers in Gaza.

"If you gave me a button to just erase Gaza, every single living being would no longer live tomorrow, I would press it in a second." It has become mainstream in Israel to openly advocate for genocide.

Read my latest dispatch for the The Guardian from #Lebanon's Beqaa, known as "the reservoir of the resistance." The valley is where #Hezbollah originated and is becoming part of a widening theatre of war with #Israel. theguardian.com/world/article/…

It remains really odd and inconsistent to me that some of the main voices advocating for and reporting on education for girls in Afghanistan are silent about this.

This is a US/Israel fabricated narrative that it is Hamas, not Israel, sabotaging a ceasefire and deal on exchange of captives. It is propaganda that abets the continuation of the mass slaughter of the Palestinians of Gaza.

Ayşenur Eygi’s family calls IDF internal finding “wholly inadequate,” saying, “we are deeply offended by the suggestion that her killing by a trained sniper was in any way unintentional.” It was “a deliberate, targeted and precise attack... against an unarmed civilian."

"The central tenet of SSR is that a state should have a single unified army and a monopoly of violence within its territory. Its motto might as well be: where the militias are, the state is not. That assumption has been proven false, time and again." Seminal, timeless piece
