Many of us have been working with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) to improve access to care records for care leavers. This survey is an important chance to tell the ICO about your experience, so they can help improve guidance and practice: ico.org.uk/about-the-ico/…

I'm reposting this, as the deadline has been extended to next Monday, 15th April. The ICO have so far had almost 200 completed responses. They want to improve the experience for care leavers accessing their care files. This is the best chance we have to influence their guidance.

How often have you heard young people described as being 'known to services' by people who don't know them at all? In our latest TheInnovateProject paper we argue why this matters and why we should stop doing it if we really want to be trauma-informed 👇🏾 sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Over the past 3 years, I've heard from 1m children about their dreams and challenges. Now, with a new government, I've launched #100Voices to share their thoughts on issues impacting their lives. Children's voices must be at the heart of policy making. childrenscommissioner.gov.uk/blog/100-voice…

Researchers at MIT have questioned whether SMART goals (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, time-bound) actually work. They suggest we might get better outcomes if we make our goals FAST (frequently discussed, ambitious, specific and transparent) not SMART.

It's one thing to identify a difficulty, it's another to find something to help with it. I like this resource by Miss Aird on Digital Tools by Microsoft that help with Dyscalculia. Check out her link on missairdteach.blogspot.com/2023/01/strate… for further strategies to support.
