“Barn burner” comes from a 19th-century American political label, Barnburners, for a radical New York Democratic faction. The name alluded to an old folktale about a farmer who burned down his barn to get rid of rats. Sounds like modern New York democratic socialist.

Axios correctly summarizes AI: The same technology that threatens millions of existing roles can create a wave of small, profitable, lower-headcount companies that couldn't have existed five years ago. Embrace AI or perish.

Great chart from Axios. Our debt bomb lept during the Obama administration, partly via inept reactions by Congress to the sub-prime bubble bursting. The biggest part was hyper expansion of Medicaid via Obamacare. It jumped later again when Congress overreacted to the COVID.

Economists expected 65,000 jobs to be added last month. 115,000 were added instead. Despite wars. Despite soring energy costs. Capitalism thrives.

North Korea's economy is based on arms sales, forced overseas labor, smuggling, counterfeiting, sanctions evasion, and cyber theft. In other words a government criminal enterprise. That's on par for communist nations.

Trump doesn't follow the rules and that causes his tariff plans to get bounced in court. Virginia Democrats didn't follow the rules and that got their redistricting plan bounced in court. Dinosaur parties are in such a panic to maintain power that they're failing on the basics.
