There are two tweets that together have unlocked something for me that I wasn’t really able to do before. It’s essentially how I now interpret the woo expression “raise your vibration”, which previously made zero sense to me. Tweets quoted below.

The other thing that happened last night is that Israeli forces attacked al-Amal orphanage in Gaza. News is emerging now with photographs of shredded children. Zero coverage so far in Western media.

My takeaway from the kids-aren't-reading discourse is everything about education in America—its deep inequalities, testing culture, GPA obsession, collapsing tenure, tuition, the creep of the business major, sports, all of it—is precisely curated to disincentivize reading books.
