The plucky samurai lifted her free hand to slide it across her nose as if to wipe something from it, although it was clear she was doing it for the added affect of toughness. “Okita Sōji, captain of the first unit of the Shinsengumi, and assistant to the vice-commander”

The samurai’s muscles visibly tensed up, although her facial features did seem to soften a bit. “I’m quite prominent I’d imagine you have heard of me. What business do you have being out tonight?”

Okita idly rubs her chin as she ponders the information. “Ah, so you’re a labourer? What would your trade be then young man?” Everything seems to check out for now but she has to be thorough.

“A restaurant, hmmm?” She wasn’t quite sure of what the phrase high-end meant but she was sure she could piece it together given some time. “Do people know I’m on patrol? Not quite…” she wasn’t too sure how much she should reveal to the stranger.

The Samurai pondered on that for a moment. Then slowly nodded. “I do need temporary lodging. My previous arrangement has run into complications it seems” the samurai’s expressions seemed to harden after uttering this before shifting to a pained one.

The Shinsengumi Captain begins to walk at a brisk pace beside the man, hand still on her sword out of habit. “I was simply patrolling the area near my former residence, it comforts me to do so. It’s very nostalgic.” She wistfully smiles as the words escape her lips.
