The import mafia & Ukrainian farmers would be laughing their heads off… after taking this hit, local farmers will grow less wheat in future, hence more wheat will be imported, making a few more decision makers happy! Great policy making!!!

A lot of people should be investigated for the wheat crisis. Can the CM Punjab kindly look into this? Especially, how much interest is being paid on the loans taken to hold last years stock & what’s the resultant price of wheat per 40 kg that is in its stock? Who is responsible?

Pakistan has already become a net food importer. Exploitation of farmers caused by such shortsighted policies will only worsen the situation. DAP was available to farmers at Rs. 2800 per bag only 02 years ago; now it’s not available easily even at a price of Rs. 18000 per bag.
