It’s extremely disappointing that the governing body of HS athletics in Arizona has basically said, “Sports are happening in Phx, they should be happening in Tucson.” No pools are open in Tucson. How is that equitable?!?

Had to tell our athletes that our season has been cancelled. There are no pools open in Tucson. Have not received anything from AIA. Apparently it’s our fault the pools are closed. It’s a shame. Had some swimmers that were going to do some things this season.

So let us get this straight. When pools (still closed) weren’t open in Tucson, AZPreps365 basically said “tough” as Phoenix schools swam. Now basketball and soccer are ready in Tucson, but not Phoenix and AIA is like, “waaaaaaaasait” we’re not ready. What gives???

We’re just trying to figure out a few things here. Still thinking about when We had to tell our student athletes their season was cancelled.

Imagine if AZPreps365 basically told you “tough luck” because your pool wasn’t open.

These Sunnyside swim HIIT workouts hit a little harder!!! We’re getting better everyday. We did IM’s, sprints, and HIIT workouts. That’s what we do.

Our senior captain, Anaysse. This young lady is awesome. She is in the folklorico, mariachi, and is the captain of the swim team. Yesterday she sang at the Sunnyside 100 celebration. She comes to practice and gives everything she has all the time. She’s amazing. @anayssegg

We can’t tell you what he was saying here…but yesterday the winner of the golden goggles was Freshman Alan Echeverria. The golden goggles represent the hardest working swimmer of the day.

Tradition continues. The swim team finished their season and that means wings. Great job by the Blue Devils. 90% of the team is returning.
