Do me a favour If you have a child(ren), niece, nephew, grandchild, step child etc etc that go to school.. Drop that school an email of thanks/support. School families feed off of this positivity! Education is getting a bashing in the press. Let's change the narrative! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝโ™ฅ๏ธ

Exactly this โฌ‡๏ธโฌ‡๏ธโฌ‡๏ธ I have faced some real stick in my time as a head for promoting equality (as we were told today) but now aspects of it will be banned! I shall look forward to seeing what the guidance says.

I taught a boy who routinely laid his head down on the desk and slept. Horrific home life, extreme anxiety. Important facts allowed me to make professional decisions on how to deal with his often unmanageable behaviour Being in school in lesson was far more important than maths

When I got pregnant, I did not think ahead to the moment 11 years later when I would have to stand on the edge of a football pitch in the pouring rain in December.
