Great to welcome some of the watch from National Coastwatch - Shoreham tonight to the station to talk about our kit and capabilities. Looking forward to meeting more of the team next week.

Team tasked with Shoreham Lifeboat to report of kayaker in difficulty. On arrival kayaker had made it to shore. Stood down and team have continued to their accident prevention patrol in Brighton.

A busy weekend so far for the team. It's been great to have multiple Coastguard teams from across the area working closely with South East Coast Ambulance & Brighton Beach Patrol Reaching Out & Saving Lives to help keep Brighton & Hove Pride safe.

Team have been tasked twice this evening. First to people on an inflatable drifting out. Stood down on route as safety ashore then immediately tasked with ShorehamHarbourRNLI to report of windsurfer in difficulty. Made own way to shore. Both calls with good intent.

Team tasked this morning along with Newhaven Coastguard Newhaven RNLI & CG Helo to search. Person found safe inland by Sussex Police

🚨 We were paged at 6.33pm along with Newhaven & Shoreham CG to reports of a person entering the water at King Alfred. On arrival, the casualty had exited the water. 📞 If you see anyone in trouble along the coast, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard 📸 Shoreham Coastguard

Both lifeboats were launched to search for a person reported to have fallen off #Brighton Palace Pier this evening along with Shoreham Coastguard Newhaven Coastguard Sussex Police & the coastguard helicopter. An extensive search was carried out at sea & along the shoreline.

At 01:30 a Vulnerable child was located by BBP,With superb partnership working with @sussex police,ensured this child stayed safe and free from further risk. My personal thanks to the tremendous support the officers showed from Brighton Police.#oneteam #Brighton @BtonHovePolice

By the time the lifeboat reached the boat, they were clear out of the harbour. The 2 persons in the water were then taken by the inshore lifeboat back to the RNLI station to warm up. The up-turned boat was towed back to Kingston beach by a coxed four from the rowing club. 3/3
