Newhaven Team on safety patrol today. Car parked in a keep clear box Brighton Pier. Driver wouldnt move as we are not the Police. Sussex Police arrived spoke to driver. No insurance, FIne & points on the way. Access gate Peachaven also blocked by parked cars. Park Consideratley

📟25/2/20 Tasked to assist our colleagues from Newhaven Coastguard with disposal of Time Expired Pyrotechnic (Flare) they had retrieved from Newhaven Area. Respective teams met in Chichester. We transported the flare back to our base for placing into our storage facility. #HMCGTeamwork

Newhaven & Shoreham Coastguard teams tasked to assist South East Coast Ambulance with a medical evacuation from the beach near Brighton Marina. Ambulance crews managed to extricate the casualty without assistance and Coastguards where stood down while on route.

Newhaven Coastguard will be remembering the fallen at both Newhaven and Peacehaven memorials today. We will remember them.
