Inspired by Queen's Gambit, I just finished rewatching Ping Pong the Animation. It's a beautiful, short show with a creative art style that gets at some fundamental truths about the nature of top-level competition. Highly recommended.

Enjoying my foray into Runeterra. Azirelia feels overtuned, and I’d love to see reactive decks get some better tools to answer it, but the core gameplay has a lot of promise. Also looking to start dabbling in TFT.

6-3 my first Legends of Runeterra seasonal tournament. Enjoyed the experience, need to prepare better next time and make sure my ladder placement tiebreaks are better - missing on tiebreaks at 7-2 would have stung.

PSA for Magic folks: P100 masks exist. They are ridiculously good at protecting you from airborne particles, 3-6x better than N95. I wish organizers did more to keep events safe, but for players as individuals, it's good to have P100s in your toolkit.

Why am I getting roasted by doordash

Despite being in an insanely good position in game one and lethal on board game two, along with a game-breaking bug that I had no way at all to play around, I don't get the invite. Insanely crushed. Just the most sickening way to go out in the final PTQ of the season.

Made day 2 of the Arena qualifier with this beautiful sealed pool. I don't understand Kamigawa draft very well, but we'll see how day 2 goes.

2-3 and dead in the qualifier. Draft was challenging, I don't like this archetype but it felt almost forced from my seat (15th pick voltage surge). Still nice to compete again.

You ever just ascend precisely twice as much as your opponent? 7-1 day 1 of the Arena Open. Probably the best pool I've ever opened.

3-2 day 2 with this medium deck. Still struggling to navigate drafts in this format - I was split between GW and RB pack 1, with RB clearly more open, and then I opened Ascendancy p2p1. Probably should have stuck with RB despite that, but hard to tell.
