It's that time of year! Or it was, for me, two days ago. Though I think this is actually the earliest I've gone. And the first time getting covid and flu shots at the same time. Sore arm, a day with minor fatigue and headache, otherwise okay. Go get you some!

When I left for a work trip yesterday, I was hoping that I'd get back home as planned. Now I'm not sure where I will be Wednesday night but feel pretty confident that it won't be in a plane landing at MSY.

Reading everyone's Francine updates from my (had-to-be-extended) work trip really makes me crave Cheetos - there's just something about hurricane snacks....

I'm walking this year's CCC in support of the New Orleans Public Library! It would mean a lot if you would contribute to my fundraising efforts. Now more than ever, our libraries provide services that are critical to us all, whether directly or indirectly. runsignup.com/shokufeh

BREAKING NEWS - another massive water main break in NOLA. Multiple people’s homes and cars are flooding. Avoid the Carrollton area on the river side of S. Claiborne. I would not drink the water coming out of your faucets if you live around New Orleans and have low water pressure.
