It's baffling to me that some of y'all see stuff in your mind. You SEE it? The way your eyes see? I always thought "visualize" meant thinking of the words/ideas/feelings associated with a thing, not actual visuals. I am such a total 5 on this scale I didn't know 1-4 existed.

Custom GPTs are starting to take off and become incredibly useful. I believe the GPT Store will create multi-millionaires like the Apple app store did. Here are the top 10 Custom GPTs I've found so far:

Structured Procrastination is such a relatable essay by Stanford professor John Perry from 1995 that everyone should read. "The procrastinator can be motivated to do difficult, timely and important tasks, as long as these tasks are a way of not doing something more important."

Does astrology work? We tested the ability of 152 astrologers to see if they could demonstrate genuine astrological skill. Here is how the study was designed and what we found (including a result that really surprised me): 🧵

once again I am shocked at how much less intermediate data science content there is compared to beginner + advanced content. The world thinks you either want to learn python in -23 days, or you want to do second order optimization by hand.

Incredible data journalism. This Article shows exactly what "algorithmic wage theft" looks like. We need more than the minimum wage & data transparency: we need new laws of work to prevent algorithmic wage discrimination. bloomberg.com/graphics/2024-…

We learn more from reading on paper than on screens. 54 studies, 171k people: we process print more deeply than digital content—as long as it's informational rather than purely narrative. The paper advantage holds across ages and has grown over time. Long live physical books.
