It started, I think, with IDS floating the idea of retirement at 75. He was a backbencher. Penny Mordaunt firmly denied the govt. would do any such thing. Get a backbench nutter to float something crazy & inch toward it later. Maybe we won’t notice.

• HSBC banking profits doubled • Shell energy profits doubled • BP energy profits doubled • BP CEO pay doubled • Shell CEO pay doubled And they tell you it is your 18 year low wage packet that is causing the inflation crisis. Mugged in broad daylight.

One of the government’s promises was to halve inflation. It’s just jumped to 10.4% And elements of their own party (incl Johnson) are undermining them on their Brexit deal - again. They have very little control over anything at the moment.

John Ferry The Spectator Scotland runs a deficit because it's economy is far smaller and narrower than its peers & the reason behind that is that investment is far too low which impacts productivity, R&D etc and the reason behind that is UK Govt economic ideology. Got it now?

Meanwhile UK inflation in "surprise rise" compared to that in France, Spain, Germany which is, we read 👇 "at much lower levels than in UK" Could Johnson's Brexit be possibly ? maybe ? a factor ? "No time to be dealing with that because "DID HE KNOW IT WAS A PARTY !!?????" 🤡
