ha. someone I know who is on SSDI and already collects $1,200/month AND section 8 [rent is $300 for him] got a $1,200 check. very interesting times. the virus didn't impact his finances at all. but he got a check. alas.

What we are witnessing here is human sacrifice at the altar of neoliberal capitalism. The sacrifice is largely being made by people of color, immigrants, and other vulnerable populations. The alternative is a redistribution of wealth that would allow more folks to #StayHome.

A corporate Democrat who didn’t support #MedicareForAll lost in #CA25, but a progressive who supports Medicare for All won in Nebraska. The takeaway is stop buying into the corporate media bullshit about “electability.” Progressives are electable because our policies are POPULAR.
