Extremely sad news for the Minnesota hockey community today as we learned Richard Emahiser passed away. A natural and passionate educator, Emmy (right) spent decades developing and mentoring players and coaches in Minnesota. Thoughts and prayers to his family!

Emmy was one of those coaches who had a very subtle and powerful impact on me. One of a kind. Last saw him in 2017 at a USA hockey coaching clinic. Had a great talk, more than 20 years after I played for him. Great human, will be missed. EPHS Boys Hockey
