I haven't written on my blog in 2 years (!) but the web design geek in me implemented dark mode as a sanity/escape project during 2020. I'm happy with the end result! It auto switches between light and dark mode based on OS settings, also stores preference if manually toggled.

Watched the “Less is Now” documentary on Netflix. It did nothing for me, besides make me cringe quite a bit. And I can’t figure out it’s purpose or distinction from the original Minimalists documentary a few years ago.

Reminder that building wealth slowly & steadily through conventional means is healthier than trying to get rich quick for the sake of it. Just in case you forgot, and have fallen into the habit of buying ebooks about how to get rich in 5 months through LEGO flipping.

Oh boy, I remember coming into work and seeing this email the morning after the 2016 election. Not a great way to start the day. Also, it was this kind of nonsense that lead me into a mini-retirement less than a year later.

It never gets old surfing Redfin and seeing listings where the owner obv has grossly inflated their home's value. Best ones have amateur photos to laugh at. Clearly visible family photos, random junk strewn about, piles of soap and TP stacked sloppily around the toilet.

I spent most of my 30's as an overly-frugal and often shamelessly cheap dude, shoveling every $ I could into the stock market while inhaling any & all content I could on how to manage my $$ mindset when it came to investing. It sure mentally prepared me for the shit we see now.
