This is why you invest in Women’s sports. This is a June type crowd… At a February tournament. People WILL follow what you put your time and effort in to. INVEST IN WOMEN… it’s worth it.

I have seen the phrase “bet on yourself” thrown around quite a bit lately. Betting implies leaving future outcomes to chance. I suggest the phrase “invest in yourself”. Investing implies making intentional decisions in the present for growth in the future.

dear softball parents who bring their kids to lessons: please put your phone down and watch your kids. every time they hit a good ball they look up to see if you’re watching and it’s so easy to see the disappointment they feel when they notice you didn’t see it

Patience for the long-term. Impatience...daily. Keep your head focused on the end goal, while relentlessly pushing every day. Hungry. Impatient. If you can do these two things, you will win at almost anything.

There are so many different roles on a softball team. & it’s not always “starter”. It’s someone’s hype man. Someone’s cool calm & collected. Someone’s small difference maker that hardly ever plays. But THOSE PEOPLE are the ones that make a huge difference. It takes everyone.

Every day, we set up mental reinforcement loops by our actions. An ex: - Repeated Hesitancy -> breeds insecurity - Taking Action -> builds confidence You are reinforcing messages to yourself every hour, every day...about who you are. Make your loops a flywheel.

Mental toughness isn’t an innate characteristic. It’s a collection of behaviors. That means it’s a skill you can train. Here’s what goes into mental toughness, and how you can get more of it for yourself:

Colleges/schools: I have been screaming this from the rooftops for years now, but we are at a place where you can no longer say we’ve got it under control when it comes to mental health advocacy/resources. We need ALL HANDS ON DECK!! 😞
